Al Nassr make mega offer for Barcelona legend

Al Nassr completed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in December and have been looking for more world stars to sign since the move for the Portuguese legend.

The signing of Ronaldo boosted the club’s international profile and they’ve been linked with a host of big names since, and another one has been rumoured lately.

The latest player to have been linked with a move if Sergio Busquets, who is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season and news on his renewal is unclear.

Now, it’s been said that Al Nassr are preparing a contract offer for the Barcelona midfielder in the hope of seeing him join the club at the end of the La Liga season.

Busquets has mega offer

The 34-year-old is admired by Xavi and despite conflicting reports, the manager wants him to extend his stay at the club having been an important figure for him.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Al Nassr have given Busquets a contract worth €18 million-per-year and that has tempted the Spanish midfielder, with a move not ruled out.

Busquets and his agent Josep Maria Orobitg are waiting to see if Barcelona can come close to that and given their financial issues as of late, it looks difficult to match.

Al Nassr and other Saudi Pro League clubs are eager to bring some of the world’s most recognizable names to their league in order to boost their football image ahead of their 2030 World Cup bid.

Along with Busquets, other names such as Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas have all been linked with moves to Al Nassr as they look to have some of the game’s greats in Saudi Arabia in the coming years.

As for Busquets, there are other options for a move with Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami also reportedly keen n his signature once his contract at Barcelona runs out this summer.
