Ansu Fati has reportedly been frustrated by his lack of game time with Barcelona this season and his agent, Jorge Mendes, has sent out warning signs about it.

Fati has struggled with injury issues in recent times and there was a belief this season that he could make a mark on Barcelona’s first-team as he returned to fitness.

The youngster has started only two of Barcelona’s 11 La Liga fixtures, coming on as a substitute in the rest of them, which has proven to be a source of frustration.

Now, agent Mendes has warned there’s a possibility that Fati may consider a move away from the club in the bid to get more game time in the coming years.

There is plenty of competition for a place on the wings at Barcelona, with the likes of Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, Ferran Torres and more all there to compete with Fati.

That has led to Xavi rotating his options and Fati doesn’t start games as frequently, however, he has made a good case to do so, having scored in his last start against Villarreal.

Barcelona are relaxed about the situation, however, as his release clause is high and incredibly unlikely to ever be met – it’s set at €1 billion.

Fati was hoping to play more in the hope of making the final Spain squad for the World Cup this winter, having missed the last squad that played in the Nations League.

When given the chances, he has impressed, having provided three goals and three assists in his 16 appearances across all competitions this season, most of which have come as a substitute.

Barcelona are in a difficult moment in the season, having suffered their second successive Champions League group stage exit, and they are still hoping to go far in the race for the Liga title.
