Robert Lewandowski has ended his Bayern Munich career as the club’s second all-time top goal-scorer with 344 goals and will undoubtedly go down as a legend in Bavaria.

The nature of his push for a move to Barcelona tarnished his reputation amongst Bayern fans, with the Polish international using the press to force the German giants into a sale to the Catalan side.

But, Lewandowski’s goal record in Munich can’t be argued with. The Pole joined the Bundesliga in 2010 and after a prolific spell at Borussia Dortmund, he continued that fine vein of form as soon as he arrived at the Allianz Arena.

Who else joins him in Bayern’s top 10 all-time record goal-scorers?

The only man with more Bayern goals than Lewandowski is club icon Gerd Muller with an incredible 528 strikes in 582 appearances. Remarkably, Lewandowski bettered his goals per game ratio at the club (0.92 to 0.91). Muller also scored 14 World Cup goals for West Germany in just 13 games.

Behind Lewandowski comes another Muller, but this time it’s current star Thomas Muller. The Germany international is a little way behind the Polish star, but has registered a very respectable 227 goals, a tally made even more impressive by the fact he’s rarely featured as a striker and also has notched up 242 assists for the club.

Fourth on the list is former Bayern CEO Karl-Heinze Rummenigge. During his playing days, Rummenigge was a prolific striker and bagged 217 Bayern goals in 423 appearances for the club.

Next up is Rainer Ohlhauser, who featured in the same Bayern side as the man who tops this list, Gerd Muller. As for Ohlhauser, he scored 185 goals for the Bavarian outfit across a nine-year spell.

Roland Wohlfarth and Dieter Hoeness sit sixth and seventh on 155 and 149 goals respectively. That duo is followed by a modern-day icon Arjen Robben. The left-footed wizard netted 144 goals in 309 games, helping Bayern assert utter dominance over the Bundesliga.

Giovane Elber and Dieter Brenniger round off the top 10.
