Paul Pogba's minuscule salary at Juventus revealed amid doping suspension

Paul Pogba is currently being paid the union minimum, around €2,000-a-month, after Juventus suspended the rest of his salary following his positive doping test, according to reports.

The rest of his salary was suspended by Juventus after his positive doping test. Gazzetta reports that Pogba counter-analysis in the doping case has failed a testosterone B test, meaning he could now face a ban from football.

If the former Manchester United man manages to prove that his intake of the substance was unintentional, the ban could be reduced to two years from four years. It is reported that Pogba can’t come in contact with any Juventus player now he has been suspended.

Pogba reportedly told the Juventus medical staff that he had taken a supplement of the material, but he only did so on the advice of a doctor friend in the United States.

His new salary is as per the regulations laid out by FIGC - and if a suspension of over six months is set, his current side have the right to tear up his contract, while they could also seek compensation for damages.

Pogba outcast at Juve

The Frenchman had been provisionally suspended following a positive test on the opening day of the Serie A season and since then, he has been unable to train with the Juventus squad, while his salary has been suspended.

Pogba must now prove that the usage of the substance took place ‘outside of competition, and isn’t linked to his levels of performance’ otherwise he faces a ban of up to four years from the sport.

Sky Sports have reported that Pogba will fight to clear his name - the 30-year-old intends to use every means at his disposal to prove his innocence.
