Real Madrid are preparing an historic unveiling at the official presentation of Kylian Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid – and their bitter rivals Barcelona – have been famous over the years for putting on glitzy and glamorous presentations when they sign big-name players.

It has become something of a tradition for Madrid to host a big show in front of the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu in order to present each new Galactico. David Beckham in 2003 and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009 were two memorable presentations.

As for Barcelona, Ronaldinho’s arrival in 2003 was an incredible affair as the Brazilian treated the crowd to an array of ball-juggling and skills.

HOW REAL MADRID WILL LINE UP

According to Marca, Madrid are planning an historic presentation for Kylian Mbappe that will outdo all of these previous unveilings. The specifics are secret at the moment, but they are said to be like something off a movie-set.

Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid this summer on a Bosman transfer when his contract at PSG expires.

The 23-year-old has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension at the Parc des Princes, although he has persistently insisted that he has not yet decided whether to stay or leave.

Mbappe attempted to push through a €150 million-plus move last summer to Madrid, the club he supported as a kid.

The transfer didn’t go through, with both Mbappe and Madrid happy to wait another year.

Le Parisien reported last week that Mbappe could yet decide to stay at PSG and sign a new, lucrative contract, although those claims have been denied by the attacker's mother.

Despite these recent reports, there is no concern in Madrid over Mbappe not joining the club. A deal is in place and all that is missing is the official announcement. And, then, the grand unveiling.

The forward signed for PSG from Monaco in a €180m deal in 2017, joining the same summer as Neymar, who transferred for a world record €222m.

Mbappe has won four Ligue 1 titles during his time at the club, as well as the World Cup for the France national team.
