Free agents: The best players available on a Bosman Transfer
The January window is open for Europe's major leagues, and several top-class players are free agents and can be signed on a Bosman deal.
Contracts in Europe typically run until the end of June, and with that date long since passed, a host of stars still find themselves unemployed.
In the summer of 2025, there were some huge free transfers - including Kevin de Bruyne to Napoli, Paul Pogba to Monaco, Angel Gomes to Marseille, Jonathan David to Juventus, Jorginho to Flamengo, Kieran Tierney to Celtic and Alexandre Lacazette to NEOM SC.
Trent Alexander-Arnold looked poised to head to Real Madrid from Liverpool for nothing, but Los Blancos agreed to pay €10m to have him available a month earlier for the Club World Cup.
In the winter, former Man Utd and Tottenham full-back Sergio Reguilon signed for Inter Miami after six months of free agency, while Takehiro Tomiyasu joined Ajax after being released by Arsenal in the summer.
