In addition to the famous golden World Cup trophy, the winners of the 2026 World Cup final on Sunday will also receive special rings, akin to those given out to Super Bowl winners.

Thirty rings will be made available to the World Cup-winning squad and each will feature an emblem of the world on top with smaller World Cup trophies visible on either side. Additionally, FIFA will put 1,996 collectable rings up for sale that can be purchased by supporters.

In total, 2,026 rings will be produced to enhance their exclusivity.

A statement from FIFA read:

"On Sunday, 19 July, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ champions will be crowned at New York New Jersey Stadium. In addition to the iconic trophy and prestigious gold medals, a new symbol of triumph will be awarded to the winning team.

"In a momentous first for a FIFA competition, the tournament winners will also receive bespoke championship rings, bringing one of the most recognisable American sporting traditions to the global game.

"Each ring will be part of a strictly limited edition of just 2,026 individually numbered pieces, a direct tribute to the tournament itself. Of these, 30 will be presented to the victorious team, while 1,996 will be made available to fans worldwide as an Official Licensed Product, allowing supporters to own a unique piece of FIFA World Cup 2026 history.

"One side of the ring proudly features the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the other will be customised to reflect the identity of the winning team. Each ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted and delivered with its own certificate of authenticity.

"Immediately after the final, the captain and head coach of the winning team will receive temporary rings to commemorate the occasion. Each of the 30 rings for the winners will then be customised before being officially presented at a later date, ensuring the perfect lifelong fit for an achievement that will echo through eternity."

The 2026 World Cup final will be contested by Spain and Argentina after the former defeated France and the latter defeated England in their respective semi-finals.

Argentina are aiming to become only the third nation in history to retain the trophy after they won the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

Donald Trump will be in attendance

The plan is for United States President Donald Trump to be at the World Cup final, which will take place on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino says he'll be there alongside Trump to present the World Cup trophy to the winning nation.

“Hopefully we’ll present the trophy together in the final," he explained.

"That’s always been the plan—and that’s how it’s always been done in the past—for the president of the country hosting the final to present the trophy together with the FIFA president.”

The White House confirmed a few days later that Trump will be in attendance.

“We look forward to the final match on Sunday, and I know ‌the president ‌looks forward to attending,” Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Leavitt said on Thursday.

“This is a fitting conclusion to a tournament that showcased America’s ability to host the world on the grandest stage.”

Trump has yet to see a single minute of live World Cup action since the tournament started.
