The Brazilian megastar has been playing with boyhood club Santos again since the start of the year, following his exit from Al-Hilal, where he had endured a torrid - but lucrative - 18 months.

Romano confirms on his latest YouTube video that Neymar's agent Pini Zahavi offered him to Champions League runners-up Inter and Serie A champions Napoli this summer.

Napoli considered the offer but eventually declined. Inter, meanwhile, were looking for a player of Neymar's profile but instead pursued Ademola Lookman, who they also failed to sign.

Romano says that Zahavi has a good relationship with both clubs, which played a role in them being offered the attacker.

Nevertheless, Neymar is one to watch in the coming weeks ahead of January as he wants to get back into the Brazil squad for the World Cup.

A move to Europe for the second half of the season is very possible.

Neymar hasn't played for Brazil since October 2023. He is currently not in the frame for the 2026 World Cup, but he dreams of competing at one final big tournament with his country and is willing to do whatever it takes to get Carlo Ancelotti's attention.

The 33-year-old has shown some glimpses of his prodigious talent, but his all-too-familiar injury problems have often reared their ugly head again, and Santos are massively struggling in Serie A, which has affected his international prospects.

Neymar is Brazil's all-time top scorer with 79 goals, two more than Pele who has 77 goals.
