Arsenal Transfer News Today: Eli Kroupi bombshell as surprise deal explored
All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Eli Kroupi, Iliman Ndiaye and Julian Alvarez.
Kroupi emerges as top target
Arsenal have made Bournemouth starlet Eli Kroupi their top attacking target, CaughtOffside claims.
The Gunners have become infatuated with the French wonderkid and are actively pursuing his signature, although there is an acceptance that a move this summer is off the table. Kroupi is recovering from an injury, and Bournemouth have no intention of selling.
Arsenal view Kroupi as a prime offensive target for the long-term and will revisit a possible deal once he returns to full fitness. A strong push in 2027 is therefore likely.
Fofana talks
Arsenal have opened talks with Lyon over a potential deal for Malick Fofana, various outlets have confirmed.
Discussions with the Ligue 1 side are being held in an effort to see if a deal for the Belgium international is feasible, with Arsenal reluctant to meet Lyon's €40m asking price for the 21-year-old.
The winger has multiple options on the table, with AS Roma and Crystal Palace having held talks this summer. In fact, the latter reached an agreement with Lyon but were rebuffed by Fofana.
Alvarez concessions
Arsenal are willing to make major concessions to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, TEAMtalk writes.
The Argentina international wants to leave Atleti, but he has refused to consider a return to England, with his preferred option being Barcelona. However, a move to the reigning LaLiga champions is believed to be all but impossible at this stage.
In an effort to convince him to join, Arsenal have indicated that they are willing to help Alvarez relocate his extended family to England. It is claimed that there have also been discussions over a potential "Barcelona clause" that could allow him to join the Catalans in the future.
Nwaneri interest
Borussia Dortmund are pondering making a loan approach for Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri, Sky Germany reports.
New signing Giannis Konstantelias has suffered an ACL injury, which has left the Bundesliga side scrambling for replacements. Nwaneri was a target last summer, and latent interest has remained since.
The 19-year-old is one of several options Dortmund are considering, along with Jadon Sancho, but it is believed that Nwaneri is reluctant to go abroad again after his disappointing loan spell at Marseille in the second half of last season.
