Bayern eye Sesko as Kane successor

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is on Bayern Munich’s shortlist to target as a potential successor to Harry Kane in the future.

Bayern had attempted to sign Sesko while he was at RB Leipzig but the Slovenian was deemed too expensive and eventually joined United last summer.

Although Bayern have no plans to immediately replace Kane and are looking to offer the 33-year-old a new contract, German reporter Christian Falk has revealed that the Bundesliga also have one eye on the long-term future beyond the England captain.

There are suggestions that Kane could eventually be moved into a deeper role and a younger number nine, such as Sesko, could come in or play along the former Tottenham man, who is ready to commit his future to Bayern.

Konsa ‘interested’ in Arsenal move

Ezri Konsa would be interested in joining Arsenal this summer after the Gunners explored a move for the Aston Villa defender.

The Gunners are considering investing in a centre-back following William Saliba’s long-term injury, with Konsa emerging as a target for both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Although Aston Villa’s asking price of more than €70 million is considered too high, Caught Offside report that Konsa is open to leaving the club even if he is not currently pushing for an exit.

A move to Arsenal would ‘interest the 28-year-old although Mikel Arteta’s side have a number of options on their radar and would likely pursue a cheaper target.

Scalvini wanted by Premier League trio

Atalanta star Giorgio Scalvini has emerged as a top defensive target for Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham, according to The Sun.

Scalvini is highly-rated as a defender but the 22-year-old has struggled with injuries in recent times, which has led to a move not materilaising despite long-term interest.

It is claimed that Atalanta would not sell Scalvini for less than €50m, although Newcastle are said to be willing to test the Serie A side’s resolve with an offer of €40m.

Scalvini is thought to want a move to the Premier League, meaning personal terms would not be an issue, while Chelsea have reportedly contacted the player’s representatives to confirm his valuation.

Liverpool set Gakpo asking price

Liverpool have named their asking price for Cody Gakpo this summer after opening the door to his transfer in anticipation of a move for Bradley Barcola.

Barcola has emerged as Liverpool’s top target for the remainder of the transfer window and they are expected to submit a formal offer of around €100m for Barcola in the coming days, with the Frenchman’s arrival potentially allowing Gakpo to be sold.

AnfieldWatch report that Liverpool are now open to selling Gakpo if they receive a fee of €85 million, with a belief that the 27-year-old’s pedigree and track record should value him slightly higher than the €80m Barcelona paid Newcastle for Anthony Gordon.

Liverpool could now field significant interest in Gakpo from a number of sides including Tottenham, who are believed to have made the winger a leading contender to join the club this summer.
