Transfer Rumours: 'Massive' Bruno Fernandes offers as Man Utd talks confirmed
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 4 April, including the latest updates on Bruno Fernandes, Jarrad Branthwaite and Said El Mala.
Fernandes to receive "massive offers"
Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes is expected to once again receive "massive offers" from Saudi Arabia, as per CaughtOffside.
The Portugal international is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford, with senior figures at the club torn over whether or not to cash in on the talismanic attacking midfielder. Fernandes turns 32 in September.
Some are worried that Fernandes could have a similar drop-off to Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, while others believe that he is too important to sell. Both could become moot points if the captain ends up having his head turned by the money on offer.
Man Utd held Branthwaite talks
Man Utd officials met with the camp of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite in February, according to Ben Jacobs.
The one-cap England international is a long-standing target for the Red Devils and remains on their radar despite two injury-ravaged campaigns. Man Utd bid for him several times in the summer of 2024.
During the meeting, Branthwaite's representatives expressed that the player would be interested in the switch. However, it is not yet set in stone whether Man Utd will make a move for him again this summer, or perhaps wait another year.
Koln want quick El Mala sale
Koln want to quickly agree a sale of wonderkid Said El Mala for financial reasons, according to Sky Germany.
The promoted Bundesliga outfit invested a fair bit in a bid to remain in the league this season, which means that they will need to make a major sale this summer to balance the books. They currently value El Mala at over €40 million.
Brighton have been trying to sign him since last year, and El Mala is believed to be keen on the move, but they view Koln's demands as unreasonable. He is also being chased by various other English clubs, including Chelsea.
PSG target Martinelli
PSG have added Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli to their summer shortlist, Media Foot claims.
The Brazil international is believed to be one of the most likely candidates to be sold by Arsenal this summer, and PSG have now joined his growing list of suitors. He has also been linked with Atletico Madrid.
The Ligue 1 giants are said to have already enquired about a potential deal for Martinelli, though it is suggested that he is only viewed as a backup option. It is claimed that PSG want to reignite their pursuit of Atleti striker Julian Alvarez this summer. He is their top target.
Everton confident over Grealish deal
Everton are growing in confidence that they will be able to keep Man City loanee Jack Grealish beyond this season, TEAMtalk reports.
The England international has no future at the Etihad and will be offloaded this summer. Everton is seen as his most likely landing spot, though the Toffees have no intention of triggering the purchase option in his loan, which stands at over €55m.
The club's preferred outcome would be a second loan deal, but there is the possibility of a permanent move if Grealish and Man City agree to compromise on their demands. The biggest challenge is the winger's massive contract.
