Transfer rumours: Chelsea launch €100m bid as Man Utd target Barcola
Arsenal have sealed their first transfer of the summer market while Manchester United are dreaming of Bradley Barcola and Chelsea are lining up a €100 million arrival.
Arsenal complete Hincapie signing
Arsenal have finalised a deal that will see Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie remain at the club on a permanent basis, Fabrizio Romano has reported.
On 28 February, FootballTransfers confirmed that talks were on track for Hincapie to stay in North London but a contract with the player had yet to be agreed.
Romano now claims this is all in place, with a deal “never in doubt”.
Now the Gunners will pay €52m to Leverkusen to seal the transfer.
Man Utd put Barcola top of transfer shortlist
Manchester United’s hunt for a replacement for Marcus Rashford has seen them put PSG winger Bradley Barcola at the top of their shortlist.
France international Barcola is seen as Man Utd’s “prime option” to replace the Barcelona-bound England star, who has been away from Old Trafford this season on loan.
The PSG ace, though, simply heads a five-man shortlist that also includes the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Yan Diomande.
Chelsea make first move to sign €100m Pavlovic
Chelsea’s first major arrival of the summer could be Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, with the Blues reportedly having made first contact over the Germany midfielder.
Pavlovic has established himself as an integral player at the Allianz Arena over the past 12 months and his form is being closely monitored by several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Blues have now got in touch with FCB over a move, though a deal promises to be difficult with the Bundesliga giants having placed a €100m price on his head.
