Chelsea and Manchester City have both been linked with a move for the England youngster in recent months, while Liverpool are currently considered to be the firm favourites in the race for his signature.

The Reds have identified Mane as a top target for the 2026 summer transfer window and they have reportedly initiated discussions over a move to Anfield, with his representatives recently invited to Liverpool’s training ground.

However, Man Utd are also interested in signing the Wolves starlet and they are keeping a close eye on his development at Molineux, according to Fichajes.

It’s reported that Mane has been added to Man Utd’s transfer wishlist, with the Red Devils ready to challenge Liverpool for his signature this summer as they look to bolster the attacking options available at Old Trafford.

Wolves are expected to demand a fee of least €57.5 million (£50m) to sanction a sale later this year, although they will undoubtedly be keen to retain Mane’s services if they are relegated back to the Championship.

Mateus Mane to leave Wolves this summer?

Mane has scored two goals and provided two assists in 15 Premier League matches since breaking into the Wolves first-team squad, and he has played the entire 90 minutes in eight of the club’s last nine fixtures in the English top flight.

He has been tipped to be called up for England’s U21 squad during the next international break in March, although the former Rochdale academy star is also eligible for Portugal and therefore could opt to play for the country of his birth.

Mane has over three years remaining on his current contract at Wolves, with the club having tied him down to an extended deal following his 18th birthday last year, and he is expected to be involved in a transfer bidding war this summer.
