Chelsea Transfer News Today: Morgan Rogers bombshell drops as scouting mission confirmed
FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Morgan Rogers and Yan Diomande.
Morgan Rogers competition
Liverpool have held talks with Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers ahead of a potential pursuit during the 2026 summer transfer window.
The England international recently penned a new long-term contract at Villa Park, however he continues to be linked with an exit and he is expected to be at the heart of a transfer bidding war later this year.
Chelsea reportedly hold the strongest interest in Rogers’ signature, with the west London giants keen to sign a player capable of rotating with Cole Palmer, but they are set to face surprise competition from Liverpool.
That is according to transfer reporter IndyKaila, who posted on X: “Liverpool have held talks with Morgan Rogers' representatives and the door wasn’t shut on them. The player is open to all proposals in the summer.”
Yan Diomande scouting mission
Chelsea were reportedly among the Premier League clubs to send officials to watch RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in action against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Diomande has 15 goal involvements in just 24 matches for Leipzig and the Bundesliga outfit have responded to his immense form by slapping a minimum asking price of €100 million on his head.
However, this hasn’t dissuaded Premier League suitors, and representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were all in attendance at the Red Bull Arena to watch him net his eighth goal of the season on Sunday afternoon, as per TEAMtalk.
Liverpool are currently considered to be the frontrunners for his signature, but Chelsea are also firmly interested in signing the 19-year-old, who is reportedly considered to be the biggest talent in the Red Bull Group since Erling Haaland.
Endrick U-Turn?
Real Madrid star Endrick is “closer to leaving” the club than he is to returning, according to a report from Spain, and that is liable to prompt transfer interest from Chelsea.
Endrick was sent away on loan to Lyon in the January transfer window, and while injury issues back at the Bernabeu have led Los Blancos to regret that decision, the Brazilian is starring in Ligue 1.
However, his future remains unclear. Real Madrid seemed to have shut down the possibility of a summer move, yet they have had a change of heart, with Fichajes indicating that the young Brazilian is likelier to be sold in the summer than return.
Several Premier League sides are said to be studying Endrick, although Chelsea have been most closely linked with the striker.
Antonio Rudiger wanted by Tottenham
Former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has emerged as a surprise target for Tottenham, according to CaughtOffside.
The Germany international is expected to leave Real Madrid when his current deal expires in July and Spurs are keen to tempt him back to London this summer.
Michael Olise stance
Bayern Munich have no intention of selling long-term Chelsea target Michael Olise, as per TEAMtalk.
The former Crystal Palace star was heavily linked with a Stamford Bridge switch before joining Bayern and Vincent Kompany’s side have reportedly moved to block a summer sale amid growing interest in his signature.
Aleksandar Stankovic wants Inter
Chelsea midfield target Aleksandar Stankovic has revealed that he “dreams” of rejoining Inter Milan amid rumours of a Premier League move this summer.
The 20-year-old left San Siro to join Club Brugge for a fee of €9.5 million last July and he has enjoyed a thoroughly successful start to life in Belgium, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
His form has unsurprisingly attracted the attention of scouts across Europe, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all keeping close tabs on his development, as per TEAMtalk.
However, speaking to Sky Italy over the weekend, Stankovic admitted (via Chelsea Chronicle): “Inter is a unique love, either you have it inside you or you don’t. Inter fans can understand. Coming back is a dream in the drawer, I don’t know when it will come true.”
Felix Nmecha latest
Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund’s last five matches amid their interest in Felix Nmecha, according to Fussball Daten.
The Blues reportedly view the midfielder as a potential signing for this summer and they are ready to battle Man Utd and Tottenham for his signature.
