Cole Palmer decision

Cole Palmer continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United and rumours of a blockbuster transfer have been fuelled further by Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes.

Following Palmer’s hat-trick versus Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, the England superstar posted a photo dump on Instagram and Fernandes surprisingly responded by commenting: “What a player.”

This has contributed to renewed speculation over a possible Man Utd switch, however Football.London have confirmed that Palmer is regarded as “virtually untouchable” and a departure is therefore unlikely to take place this summer.

Julian Alvarez talks

Chelsea are reportedly advancing on a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.

Alvarez appears to be the Blues’ preferred target and reports in Spain suggest they are willing to “break the bank” in order to sign the former Manchester City forward.

ESPN Argentina now report that Chelsea are quietly advancing on a deal for Alvarez, with conversations ongoing with his representatives over a potential summer transfer.

Morgan Rogers interest

Chelsea remain interested in signing Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, who has also been linked with a move to Man Utd.

The England international was on Chelsea’s radar last year and the reigning Club World Cup champions are ready to test Villa’s resolve this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.

He told his YouTube channel: “Morgan Rogers extended his contract at Aston Villa a few months ago, but for Rogers, there will be movement again. Last summer, Tottenham tried to sign Rogers, but it was not possible because Aston Villa decided to keep the player, to close the doors to any potential transfer.

“There was a lot of attention from Chelsea as well. Chelsea have been monitoring Rogers for a long time. They've always been big fans of Rogers as a player, as a talent, in terms of skills, in terms of professionalism, in terms of potential. I'm sure Chelsea are still tracking Rogers as one of the most talented wingers in the game at the moment.

“Chelsea are still very attentive. For Tottenham, he is a dream target, for sure. We also have to see what happens, for example, at Arsenal and other clubs that could be involved in this possibility.

“The situation of Rogers will be, for sure, one to watch, I think, in the summer. Aston Villa obviously will try to keep the player, will try to resist the proposals, but in case they get an important, important bid, a huge proposal, a huge amount of money, there could still be a possibility for Rogers to have the chance to try a different chapter in the summer transfer window.”

Man Utd eye Liam Delap

Manchester United are set to shop at Chelsea this summer as Liam Delap is now also being linked with a move to Old Trafford in addition to the aforementioned Palmer.

All told, Delap has only scored three goals for Chelsea since joining from relegated Ipswich Town ahead of the Club World Cup last summer. Just one of those goals has come in 15 Premier League outings.

However, Delap could also become a target again for the Red Devils, according to TEAMtalk. Man Utd, of course, were among the clubs vying for his signature last summer.

It is claimed that the Old Trafford club are still keeping tabs on Delap. Given that he only cost just over €35 million, Chelsea would have no issue cashing in on him at the right price, especially in light of his disappointing start to life in West London.

With Emmanuel Emegha and possibly another striker joining the club in the summer, Delap's chances of regular minutes will be limited next term, making him a potential market opportunity in the summer.
