Vini Jr has been at the heart of a storm at the Bernabeu for months now, with the 25-year-old locked in an increasingly heated contract dispute with the team that has only stepped up following his loss of superstar status under Xabi Alonso.

Reports in Spain indicate the player’s representative has taken steps to approach other major clubs, while there are also claims that Real Madrid have received two bids worth in excess of €100 million for the star.

Vinicius Junior: Real Madrid prepare new contract announcement

Despite tension between Vini Jr and Alonso, the board are ready to back the player by agreeing a new contract with him.

According to Radio Marca, a deal is expected to be announced “soon”.

It’s unclear how long the agreement will be for. Such has been the discord at the club, there has been speculation that Vini could even sign just a one-year deal to protect Real Madrid’s financial interests should his relationship with Alonso prove irreparable.

His current deal expires at the end of June 2027, putting pressure on Los Blancos to make a call over his future with immediate effect. If he is allowed to go into next season without a new agreement, there will be a possibility he could leave for nothing, which would be seen as a huge financial error on the part of the administration.

However, it would be a blow for the coach if the club were to back the player over him in this case given the very public disharmony between the pair. This dates to the FIFA Club World Cup in June and continued at El Clasico, when the South American reacted in a frustrated manner to being substituted.

Man Utd and Chelsea make huge Vini Jr bids

Until a contract is signed, rumours will persist over Vinicius Junior’s future.

His representatives have offered him to PSG, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United, according to Madrid-based source Defensa Central.

This report claims that Real Madrid have put contract talks with the player on hold, even if further discussions are expected later. Vini’s desire, meanwhile, is to stage for a long time.

According to El Nacional, there is interest from the Premier League in the player – and this has manifested itself in the form of “two very serious proposals”.

Manchester United and Chelsea have “put more than €100m on the table” to sign a player they believe could “become the face of the Premier League for the next decade”.

Real Madrid, it is claimed, are still swithering over whether they want to sell at that price but will sit down and talk with the two giants over Vini Jr’s future, which is set to remain a hot topic until any contract announcement is made.
