Ousmane Dembele named The Best Men's Player by FIFA
Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ousmane Dembele has been named The Best Men's Player of 2025 at The Best FIFA Football Awards.
The France international has scooped his third major individual honour of the year after winning the 2025 Ballon d'Or in September and Ligue 1's Player of the Season award. Dembele is coming off a spectacular 2024/25 campaign.
The 28-year-old fired PSG to a domestic double and to the club's first-ever Champions League success last term. Head coach Luis Enrique, who won FIFA's The Best Men's Coach award, built his team around Dembele, allowing him to emerge as a surprisingly clinical forward.
Dembele finished the 2024/25 season with a staggering record of 35 goals and 16 appearances across all competitions, which has seen him beat Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal to both the Ballon d'Or and The Best Men's Player this year.
The current campaign has not quite been as successful for Dembele as he has often been sidelined by injuries. Nevertheless, the Frenchman has still been impactful in limited minutes. He has scored three goals and provided three assists in 12 appearances.
Aitana Bonmati wins Best Women's Player
Barcelona superstar Aitana Bonmati has been named The Best Women's Player for the third consecutive year, mirroring her success in the Ballon d'Or voting, which she has also won three times in a row.
2025 wasn't quite as successful for Aitana as previous years, but she was still easily the best and most consistent performer in the women's game. She won a domestic double with Barcelona, but only finished runner-up in the Champions League and at the European Championship.
Despite not winning the UWCL, the 27-year-old was named the competition's Player of the Season after recording the most assists from her midfield position.
England head coach Sarina Wiegman was named The Best Women's Coach after winning the Euros with England. It is her fifth such award after winning the 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2023 editions.
