The Premier League has established itself as the most-watched division in world football over the past two decades and clubs in England are currently owned by some of the wealthiest people on the planet.

As such, they are able to sign the best players from across the globe, many of whom unsurprisingly boast extremely high Estimated Transfer Values (ETV).

ETV is a market-leading transfer valuation algorithm designed and developed by Dutch data company SciSports, in partnership with FootballTransfers.

A player’s ETV is calculated by a variety of factors, namely: player age, player position, player performance, player experience, league strength and contract situation.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through the top 25 most valuable players in the Premier League.

Who are the most valuable players in the Premier League?

25. Nick Woltemade (Newcastle) - €73.8m

Newcastle’s marquee summer signing has seen his ETV increase by the biggest margin of any player in the Premier League since October, having netted six goals in just 12 games for his new club.

His immense ascent to global stardom can be seen by the fact his ETV was a mere €5.6m in December 2024.

24. Phil Foden (Man City) - €73.8m

Phil Foden endured a tough 2024-25 campaign, but he has re-established himself as a regular in the Manchester City team so far this season.

Despite this, his current €73.8m ETV is still a far cry from his career peak of €138.6m in September 2022.

23. Omar Marmoush (Man City) - €74m

Omar Marmoush enjoyed a successful first six months at Man City, but a knee injury has disrupted his start to the 2025-26 season.

Despite this, his ETV still stands at €74m - just €1m shy of the fee Pep Guardiola’s side paid to sign him in January.

22. Joao Pedro (Chelsea) - €74.7m

Joao Pedro has seen his ETV skyrocket over the past 12 months and it now sits at €74.7m - the highest of his entire career.

The Brazilian has impressed since arriving at Chelsea in July and he has firmly established himself as one of Enzo Maresca’s most important players.

21. Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal) - €75m

Arsenal were locked in an intense transfer battle with Man Utd over the summer, with both clubs eager to land Viktor Gyokeres following a stellar two-year stint at Sporting CP.

The Gunners won the race for his signature and despite his indifferent start to life in north London, Gyokeres is currently the fifth most valuable player in the Arsenal squad at €75m.

20. Benjamin Sesko (Man Utd) - €76.1m

After missing out on Gyokeres, Man Utd opted to sign Benjamin Sesko as Rasmus Hojlund’s replacement and he has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League.

The Slovenia international has scored just two goals in 11 games across all competitions for the Red Devils, but his ETV still stands at €76.1m - largely due to his expensive summer move.

19. Xavi Simons (Tottenham) - €76.7m

Sesko’s former RB Leipzig team-mate Xavi Simons has also endured a slow start to life in England, however the Netherlands star is still regarded as one of the top attacking midfielders in world football.

His ETV stood at €79.9m before his summer move to Spurs and it remains in that ballpark.

18. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) - €76.9m

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard enjoyed a sublime season in 2022-23, notching 15 Premier League goals, however injury problems have begun to impact his game on a more frequent basis recently.

As a result, his ETV has slowly fallen from a career high of €134.5m in March to €76.9m in November. However, he is still the 18th most valuable player in the English top flight.

17. William Saliba (Arsenal) - €77.2m

Fellow Arsenal star William Saliba is in 17th place courtesy of a €77.2m ETV.

His value has stayed fairly consistent since the beginning of last season, however it is likely to increase in future months following his decision to snub Real Madrid and sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

16. Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) - €78.4m

Bruno Guimaraes is unsurprisingly the most valuable player in the Newcastle United first-team squad at €78.4m.

The Brazil international has been a sublime signing for the Magpies and he remains one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

15. Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool) - €79.2m

Hugo Ekitike’s ETV stood at just €14.6m when he completed a permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, but his reputation has increased hugely since then.

The Frenchman notched 22 goals last term and he has already established himself as a top class striker since his arrival in England. Furthermore, he is now one of the most valuable forwards in the world.

14. Tijjani Reijnders (Man City) - €79.3m

Tijjani Reijnders joined Man City for a fee of €55m this summer and his ETV has already risen well beyond that figure after an impressive start to life in England.

The Dutch star has settled in well under Guardiola and is already among the most valuable midfielders in the Premier League.

13. Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) - €80.2m

Dominik Szoboszlai has been forced to play as a right-back on a number of occasions this season, but he has still been one of Liverpool’s most impressive performers since the beginning of the campaign.

The Hungary international has bucked the recent trend of players struggling upon their arrival from the Bundesliga and is worthy of his €80.2m ETV tag.

12. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) - €81.9m

Chelsea paid a whopping €121m to sign Enzo Fernandez in January 2023 and although he has impressed in west London, his ETV hasn’t quite reached that level yet.

However, he is still one of the best players in the Premier League and he could soon break into the top 10 most valuable stars in England.

11. Josko Gvardiol (Man City) - €82.2m

Josko Gvardiol just misses out on the top 10, but he is still the most valuable defender in the Premier League at €82.2m.

The Croatia superstar has been a reliable performer since his arrival from RB Leipzig and he is adored by Guardiola.

10. Rodri (Man City) - €90.5m

2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri is the 10th most valuable player in the Premier League with an ETV of €90.5m.

He has suffered several injuries over the past year, however he remains a class act and his value will rise if he extends his current Man City contract, which is due to expire in 2027.

9. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - €97.5m

Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in world football, but his ETV has fallen below the €100m mark for the first time since 2023, likely due to a few recent injury problems and the fact he has less than two years remaining on his current contract.

However, Saka is locked in advanced negotiations over a new deal with Arsenal and his ETV will likely rise back over €100m when that is finalised.

8. Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool) - €106m

Ryan Gravenberch is currently the eighth-most valuable Premier League player following his stellar development under Arne Slot.

The Dutchman was a bit-part player during his first season at Liverpool, but he is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for good reason.

7. Cole Palmer (Chelsea) - €111m

Cole Palmer’s ETV has increased dramatically since his move to Chelsea, although it has stagnated between €110m and €120m over the past eight months amid a slight goal drought in the Premier League and his current groin injury.

However, he was a worthy inclusion in the FIFPro World XI and his ETV will undoubtedly rise once again if he returns to full fitness soon.

6. Moises Caicedo (Chelsea) - €114.1m

After a slow start at Chelsea, Moises Caicedo is now one of the best players in the Premier League and his ETV of €114.1m reflects that.

The Ecuador star has seen his value increase by a whopping €34.7m since October following a stellar month at Chelsea.

5. Declan Rice (Arsenal) - €114.8m

Declan Rice is arguably in the form of his life and it’s therefore no surprise that he is one of the top five most valuable players in the English top flight.

His €116.6m transfer fee looked excessive at the time, but he’s made it look like a bargain.

4. Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool) - €117m

Alexis Mac Allister may be a surprise inclusion in fourth place, however he was superb during Liverpool’s Premier League triumph last season and he still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract.

His €117m ETV will likely drop over the next year if Liverpool don’t tie him down to a new deal, however.

3. Alexander Isak (Liverpool) - €132.1m

After scoring 23 goals in 34 Premier League appearances for Newcastle last season, it won’t come as a shock that Alexander Isak features prominently as one of the most valuable players in the division.

He has started slowly since joining Liverpool for a British record transfer fee, but goals will surely start flowing soon.

2. Florian Wirtz (Liverpool) - €138.1m

Like Isak, fellow summer signing Florian Wirtz has also struggled at Liverpool and he is yet to nail down a guaranteed spot in the Reds’ first-choice starting XI.

But, his form at Bayer Leverkusen means he is still regarded as one of the most talented players in the world and his ETV reflects that status.

1. Erling Haaland (Man City) - €150.4m

The most valuable player in the Premier League is Man City superstar Erling Haaland, with an ETV of €150.4m.

The Norway international has scored 141 goals in 159 games for Guardiola’s side, while his ETV is also boosted by the fact his current contract doesn’t expire until 2034.
