Man Utd open talks to sign €77m Premier League star

Manchester United have opened talks to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, according to a report.
The Red Devils are looking to bolster their frontline after enduring the worst Premier League season in club history. Initially, it seemed as though Man Utd would not have money to spend, but this no longer appears to be the case.
The Old Trafford side are finalising the signing of Matheus Cunha for a whopping €74 million, while they are also pursuing a €35m move for Liam Delap to solve their problems at the No.9 position.
Man Utd are confident that they can complete these two signings without first having to make sales, but any other moves will likely have to be financed by outgoings.
However, the Europa League finalists feel that they need even more attacking signings in order to be competitive domestically again.
Man Utd open Semenyo talks
To that end, they are firmly in the race to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, a player Ruben Amorim is a known admirer of. According to TEAMtalk, Man Utd have now opened talks as they seek to step up their pursuit.
The Red Devils have initiated contact with the player's camp to outline their project, although it does not appear as though they have made him a formal contract offer.

They have also yet to present a bid to Bournemouth, likely in the knowledge that they first need to offload some players. The Cherries have put a hefty €77m price tag on the Ghana international.
Several other Premier League sides, including Tottenham and Liverpool, as well as clubs abroad, are ready to rival Man Utd for Semenyo's signature. It remains to be seen if Bournemouth are open to discussing a deal for the 25-year-old.
They are keen to prevent their side from getting disassembled this summer and may be reluctant to engage given that they have already lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid and are in advanced talks to sell Milos Kerkez to Liverpool.
