Confirmed: Florian Wirtz makes FINAL transfer decision

Florian Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to join Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in Germany.
The 22-year-old is wanted by both Manchester City and Real Madrid, among others, but he has now decided to join Bayern this summer.
That is according to German outlet BILD, who claim that Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso that he doesn’t want to join Man City or Real Madrid as he only wants to move to the Allianz Arena.
Vincent Kompany’s side reclaimed the Bundesliga title on Sunday and they have identified Wirtz as their top target for the 2025 summer transfer window, with Foot Mercato even reporting that a contractual agreement has been reached with the Germany international.
Bayern are yet to finalise a deal with Leverkusen, however BILD state that Wirtz’s move to Bavaria is “becoming more and more likely.”
The 22-year-old’s current contract at the BayArena is due to expire in 2027 and Leverkusen are rumoured to be asking for a fee of €120 million to sanction a sale this summer, which slightly exceeds his €116.4m Estimated Transfer Value (ETV).
Wirtz has scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists so far this season, and he is set to complete a formidable forward line at Bayern alongside Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane.

Man City turn to Morgan Gibbs-White
With Wirtz now looking set to join Bayern Munich this summer, Man City are expected to turn their attention to finalising a deal for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White amid their pursuit of a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
The England international has enjoyed an impressive campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo, registering 12 goal contributions in 31 Premier League appearances, and his ETV has risen to a career peak of €61.7m.
