REVEALED: How Bruno Fernandes’ Saudi offer compares to Ronaldo’s world-record contract

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is once again in the transfer spotlight, with the Portugal international playmaker subject to a potential record bid from Al-Hilal.
Ben Jacobs reported on Tuesday that the 30-year-old has emerged as a leading target for the Saudi Pro League outfit, who missed out on signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool as a free agent.
Al-Hilal, therefore, have money to burn. Around €600 million had been earmarked to land the Egypt international.
While there’s no confirmation of how much Man Utd might potentially fetch for Bruno, the fee is expected to be a British record, with claims that there is a €70m exit clause having been dismissed.
The current Premier League record sale is Philippe Coutinho, who was allowed to leave Liverpool for Barcelona in a deal worth a staggering €135m. If Bruno Fernandes is to depart for Saudi, he will likely do so for more than this figure.
And the attraction is clear: the former Sporting CP star is set to be offered a massive contract.

How much has Bruno Fernandes been offered by Saudi?
Bruno Fernandes will be offered a contract in excess of €1.2m a week by Al-Hilal, according to The Telegraph.
His annual salary in the Saudi Pro League would be something in the region of €62.4m, compared to his current salary of €18.3m with Man Utd.
While the riches on offer to Bruno are massive, they still pale in comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo’s world-record deal at Al-Nassr.
His compatriot is thought to earn around €200m annually after becoming the first major star to sign for the Saudi Pro League.
Salah was in line to earn an incredible €590m over three years in Saudi Arabia, BBC Sport reports, while Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior reportedly has a €1bn deal still on the table from the Pro League, although the expectation is that he will not move.
Compared to these figures, Bruno Fernandes is being offered chicken feed by the Saudi Pro League, and it may well be that he is not tempted by the move as a result.
