Rafael Leao has fuelled rumours of an AC Milan exit this summer with his latest social media activity.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a San Siro departure for several months and Arsenal are among the clubs eyeing a potential move during the 2025 summer transfer window, along with fellow Premier League giants Chelsea.

Leao has only played the entire 90 minutes on four occasions in Serie A since the appointment of Sergio Conceicao in December and he was an unused substitute during their final game of the campaign on Saturday - a 2-0 victory over Monza.

The Rossoneri’s poor form throughout the 2024-25 campaign means they won’t be playing European football of any kind next year and Leao dropped a major hint regarding his future in the aftermath of their win against Monza.

According to The Express, the Portuguese superstar removed Milan from his Instagram bio following the game, suggesting that he may have already played his final match for the club.

It comes after Foot Mercato revealed that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has spoken to Leao on the phone in recent days as the Gunners consider a possible summer move for the former Lille winger.

In addition to Leao, Arsenal are also monitoring a number of alternative left winger targets ahead of next season, including Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

Rafael Leao at AC Milan

If Leao does depart Milan during the upcoming summer transfer window, he will leave the club having racked up 260 appearances, 70 goals and two trophies across a fairly successful six-year stint at San Siro.

The Portugal international arrived at Milan from Lille for a fee of €49.5m in 2019, and given he still has three years remaining on his current contract with the Italian giants, they are hopeful of turning a profit on the 25-year-old.
