Man Utd to make striker signing TODAY as Cunha sent transfer message

Manchester United are poised to complete a signing that could have important implications for the future of the club.
It’s set to be a busy summer transfer window for Ruben Amorim’s side, with a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha on the verge of completion.
But while the final details need to be completed for the Brazil international attacker, who is said to “love” Man Utd, the Red Devils have swooped to complete a deal for a rising young talent.
According to Le Parisien’s Benjamin Quarez, Enzo Kana-Biyik is set to fly to Manchester on Wednesday to complete his move to United from Le Havre.
The 18-year-old striker will be a free agent in the near future and has turned down the offers of the Ligue 1 side for him to sign a professional deal.
Instead, he will become Man Utd’s second summer signing, following Cerro Porteno's Diego Leon as a young prospect to hook up with the Old Trafford side with a view to breaking into the first team next season.
Quality of Man Utd players ‘so poor’
Matheus Cunha is set to become Man Utd’s first major signing of the summer, with a deal close for the Wolves player.
Personal terms are thought to have already been agreed, with the Red Devils just in need of agreeing payment terms with their Premier League rivals.
United legend Paul Scholes has his doubts over the deal, though.
“He looks like he’s got the attributes that Ruben Amorim wants,” he told TNT Sports.
“He knows that physically, his team are just not strong or quick enough, so Matheus Cunha is obviously athletic, and he’s got quality with 15 league goals this season. I just worry for any signing coming to Manchester United at the minute. It just feels like it’s such a bad place to go. The quality of play right now is so poor.
“And with Cunha, is he a centre-forward or is he a wide player? There’s no doubt that he has quality and of course, it would be nice to sign him, but I worry about where he fits in.”
