Vitor Roque has received around 30 enquiries for a summer transfer, according to Spanish media.

The teenage sensation fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing for Barcelona when he signed for the club in January in a deal potentially rising to a whopping €60 million. His dream, however, rapidly turned into a nightmare.

Roque is clearly not favoured by Blaugrana boss Xavi and the Brazilian wonderkid is struggling to get on the pitch. His predicament has been made all the more complicated by Robert Lewandowski's improved form. With both Xavi and Lewandowski confirming that they will stay in Catalunya for at least one more season, Roque's path to regular football at his current club appears blocked.

Indeed, the youngster realises this. His agent blew the summer transfer window wide open on Monday when he went public with his client's desire for a move away from Barcelona, making the shocking claim that Roque would only depart permanently rather than on loan this summer.

Man Utd are long-term admirers of the 19-year-old and they were immediately associated with the striker again, but it has now been revealed that the Red Devils are just one of around 30 clubs to have made contact with the forward.

Roque's wealth of options

At least that's according to AS, which claims that an avalanche of enquiries has reached Roque's camp since his agent's stunning revelation. The Madrid-based outlet describes the youngster's situation as 'a volcano ready to explode.'

It is claimed that in addition to Man Utd, the likes of Chelsea, Napoli, Tottenham and more than 20 other clubs have made contact with the Brazilian to test the waters regarding a potential summer transfer. Spurs, according to Fabrizio Romano, previously attempted to hijack Barcelona's deal to sign Roque.

The wonderkid still hopes to be a success story at his dream club Barcelona and his agent will meet with sporting director Deco in the coming weeks to clarify the situation. However, it is clear that the striker can't continue to sit on the bench in Catalunya. Unless Xavi and Deco can promise him significant minutes next season, a departure may be inevitable.
