Vincent Kompany’s potential move from Burnley to Bayern Munich could spell the end of Jack Grealish’s Manchester City career.

Grealish, 28, has been heavily linked with a Man City exit in recent weeks following his lack of involvement during the 2023-24 season.

The England international was a key component of Pep Guardiola’s treble-winning side in 2022-23, but he saw his minutes drastically reduced after the arrival of Jeremy Doku from Stade Rennais.

Grealish amassed over 2,000 minutes of action in all competitions, but he only started 10 Premier League games all season, contributing three goals and one assist.

With his career at Man City stalling, Bayern Munich are targeting a summer move for Grealish, according to The Sun.

The Bavarian outfit are close to appointing the aforementioned Kompany as their replacement for Thomas Tuchel, despite his relegation with Burnley, and the former Man City captain is reportedly eager to bring Grealish to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern believe the former Aston Villa man could be tempted by a switch to the Bundesliga, with the attraction of playing alongside Harry Kane seen as a major pull.

Furthermore, Jadon Sancho’s success in the German top flight has been cited as a potential reason why Grealish may be interested in leaving the Premier League amid his Man City struggles.

Bayern are reportedly willing to consider offers for Serge Gnabry and the Germany international’s possible exit could facilitate a move for Grealish - who was sensationally linked with joining Chelsea earlier this year.

Jack Grealish to star at Euro 2024?

Despite his lack of minutes for Man City, Grealish has been included in Gareth Southgate’s initial 33-man squad for the 2024 European Championship.

However, he is one of the more likely candidates to be dropped for the final England squad; he faces competition from the likes of Eberechi Eze, Phil Foden, Anthony Gordon and potentially James Maddison for a starting berth on the left flank of the Three Lions’ attack.
