Out of contract in 2025: The best free agents available on a Bosman

The 2025 summer transfer window is already proving to be an eventful one when it comes to free transfers.
The 2024 market saw several high-profile players move on free transfers, including Kylian Mbappe, Thiago Silva and Olivier Giroud.
The summer of 2025 has some equally big star names joiing new clubs as free agents.

Liverpool legend Trent Alexander-Arnold has joined Real Madrid. Initially a free transfer, Los Blancos agreed to pay a whopping €10 million to sign him a month earlier so as to have him available for the Club World Cup.
Man City legend Kevin de Bruyne has announced he will leave the club after 10 brilliant years at the Etihad. He has agreed a move to Napoli.
Jorginho and Kieran Tierney have left Arsenal. Jorginho has returned to Brazil with Flamengo, while Tierney has moved to Celtic. Thomas Partey is set to leave Arsenal as well, as contract talks have broken down.
Manchester United are expected to release Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen and Jonny Evans.
Real Madrid will release club legend Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez. Modric is close to agreeing a free transfer to AC Milan.
Wojciech Szczesny is out of contract at Barcelona but sporting director Deco has confirmed he will pen a one year extension.
In Germany, Leroy Sane at Bayern Munich and Jonathan Tah at Bayer Leverkusen are two big names who have their contracts expiring. Tah has already joined Bayern, whle Sane will move to Galatasaray.
Thomas Muller has announced he will leave the Bavarians after a glittering career.
Lukas Nmecha, meanwhile, has left Wolfsburg and signed for Leeds on a free transfer.
Eric Dier has announced that he will join Monaco on a free transfer when his Bayern contract runs out.
In Italy, AC Milan will release Davide Calabria and Luka Jovic on free transfers. Roma defender and Germany legend Mats Hummels has announced he is retiring this summer.
Jonathan David will leave Lille on a Bosman Transfer, while Alexandre Lacazette will depart Lyon. Angelo Gomes has agreed a free transfer to Marseille.
