Fabrizio Romano claims that there is nothing to the rumours linking Jadon Sancho to Juventus.

At the weekend, reports emerged that the Bianconeri had begun targeting the banished Manchester United winger. Sancho remains in first-team exile after publicly calling Erik ten Hag a liar and refusing to apologise.

The more time passes and the situation remains gridlocked, the more likely it is becoming that the 23-year-old's career at Old Trafford is over. Juventus, according to recent reports, would be a potential exit route for Sancho, who is, at this point, almost nailed on to depart on loan in January.

Previously, Sancho had also been linked with Jose Mourinho's Roma, while a return to the Bundesliga - either with ex-club Borussia Dortmund or Bayern Munich - has also been discussed as a real possibility. Fabrizio Romano has now shed light on the fresh batch of rumours.

What did Romano say?

Speaking to CaughtOffside, the Italian said regarding the winger: “I was checking about Juventus and Roma, but at the moment they are not looking for a player in Jadon Sancho’s position, they are happy with the players they have, so there is nothing concrete."

The transfer expert did, however, reveal that Dortmund remains a possible destination. Indeed, head coach Edin Terzic is said to be in regular contact with Sancho, though a deal could prove tough to pull off.

“We have to keep an eye on German clubs," Romano asserted, "because Sancho did very well in the Bundesliga, but nothing has been decided by Borussia Dortmund – it will be important to see what competitions they are in in the second half of the season."

“For United, they are still waiting to see if Sancho will apologise or not. It’s not going to be that easy, but if he doesn’t apologise then the January window will be the only solution.”
