Man Utd summer signing set for TENSE Ten Hag talks
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is set for talks with manager Erik ten Hag after reversing his decision to retire from international football.
Onana arrived at Old Trafford in a €52.5 million deal from Inter in the summer, with the goalkeeper joining as a replacement to David de Gea, who departed as a free agent.
When the shot-stopper joined Man Utd, he was not actively part of the Cameroon national team, having quit during the World Cup in 2022 at protest over the tactical decisions of head coach Rigobert Song. This was a call he quickly reserved earlier in September.

According to the Mirror, Ten Hag is set to hold a summit with the 27-year-old now that Cameroon have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Dutchman is so pressed because of the issue as he could lose Onana for around a month during the tournament, which takes place in January in the Ivory Coast.
This could potentially take Onana out of the picture in Man Utd’s first team for nine matches, including four in the Premier League and another in the Champions League.
The report indicates that Ten Hag is hoping that Onana’s decision to play for Cameroon was a one-off rather than a permanent call, although it would be surprising if that were the case.

Bayindir to step up?
Man Utd have only Altay Bayindir at the club as serious cover, with the six-time Turkey international signed from Fenerbahce in the summer for €5 million. He was not a player that Ten Hag appeared to be placing a significant weight on this season, yet the 25-year-old could find himself featuring in a string of vital games come January.
Bayindir is under contract at Man Utd until 2027, meaning he is seen as a long-term option, and his first major chance to prove his value could come sooner than anticipated.
