Juventus are the latest club trying to hijack Manchester United's Sofyan Amrabat deal, according to Italian media.

The Moroccan is the subject of intense interest from the Red Devils, but Erik ten Hag and company have thus far been indecisive in their pursuit. They have focused on getting deals for Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund over the line, while also waiting for the exits of Fred and Donny van de Beek.

Therefore, no official bid has been made. With just a few weeks left in the transfer window, the situation surrounding Amrabat could get dicey. Indeed, United's dithering has emboldened other clubs to enter the fray. Liverpool have previously tried to strike a deal, while Al-Ahli emerged as a suitor last week.

EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd may keep Maguire for another season

Amrabat rejected both approaches as he is keen on a move to Old Trafford, having already assented to the prospect of a transfer in June. Now, however, a new challenger has approached.

Juventus want a midfielder

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are still looking for a midfielder and they have now begun working towards a hijack attempt for Amrabat.

The Bianconeri had previously been credited with an interest in Franck Kessie, but the Barcelona midfielder is now on his way to Al-Ahli, which has forced Juventus to look elsewhere.

REVEALED: Man Utd IGNORED Bruno Fernandes' transfer plea by signing Rasmus Hojlund

Amrabat is the logical option and it wouldn't be the first time that Juventus have raided hated rivals Fiorentina. In fact, Juventus have flushed more than €120 million into the Viola's coffers in recent transfer windows with the signings of Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa.

There are some questions about the Italian giants' ability to finance the deal, however. Cash-strapped, without Champions League football and having already spent north of €70m this window, Juventus will find it tough to match Fiorentina's asking price of €25-30 million.
