Man Utd fight keep Amrabat transfer PROMISE

Manchester United remain in talks with Fiorentina over a move for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, despite having had a derisory bid for the Morocco international knocked back by the Serie A club on Wednesday.
The Red Devils have been chasing Amrabat for weeks but have been unable to get a deal over the line, despite a clear buy-in from the player, who is eager to make the move.
Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions have thwarted Man Utd, who have been unable to offload any of their own players in order to raise funds to do a deal.

As such, the Red Devils offered Fiorentina an embarrassing loan offer worth just €2 million (£1.7m) for a player who is out of contract next summer. The Athletic reports that this would be paid in two instalments and could even allow Man Utd to cut the loan short in January, in which case they would only pay €1m for the central midfielder.
Fiorentina remain open to a loan move for Amrabat, who has had a €35m price tag put on him, but any deal hinges on Man Utd’s ability to pay his market value.

Ten Hag has given Amrabat his word
Manager Erik ten Hag, who worked with the player at Utrecht, will be particularly eager to get the Amrabat transfer over the line after putting his reputation on the line by promising the player that Man Utd were getting ready to firm up their interest in the 27-year-old.
Amrabat has been on standby for the move for days now and has not been training with Fiorentina in a bid to force a deal through. His desire, though, has not been matched by Man Utd’s capabilities.
Complicating matters further going into the final hours of the transfer window is the fact that Man Utd also need to land a left-back following injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
