Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite with the bookmakers to return to Tottenham and succeed Antonio Conte as manager.

Conte’s position at Spurs is very much in doubt and he is expected to leave at the end of the season.

The Italian manager arrived in north London in November 2021, replacing the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo.

His contract expires at the end of the season and negotiations to renew his deal have never really taken off.

Conte has spoken publicly about his desire to return to Italy and he is likely to see out his contract with Tottenham and depart in June.

Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite with the bookmakers to be Tottenham's next permanent manager.

He has odds of 11/8 with betfair to return to the club he previously managed from 2014 to 2019.

Pochettino became a fan favourite, despite not winning a trophy. He led Spurs to the Champions League final in 2019 and a second-place finish in the Premier League. He is currently unemployed after leaving PSG in 2022.

Second favourite for the Tottenham job is former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel enjoyed fantastic success at PSG and at Chelsea, with whom he won the Champions League in 2021.

He has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea at the start of the 2022-23 season.

The third favourite is Thomas Frank. The Danish manager is already considered a legend at Brentford after leading the club back into the Premier League after decades away.

There is a surprise option as fourth favourite in the form of under-fire Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

Potter is on the brink of the sack at Chelsea but could be a better option at a more settled and stable Tottenham team.

Completing the top five is Potter’s successor at Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi has been a revelation since moving to the Premier League, leading Brighton to challenge for a European place.
