As well as Liverpool, new Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen to reunite with Mason Mount during the upcoming summer transfer window - but it would take a fee of £50million.

After being appointed as the new manager of Bayern Munich, the former Chelsea boss has wasted no time in drawing up his transfer plans. Just days into his new post, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann after his sacking, Tuchel is already keen on a reunion with the England attacker, whose future at Chelsea is in the spotlight after he rejected a £200,000-a-week contract offer.

With Mount's current deal at Stamford Bridge approaching its final year, the English midfielder has reportedly hired a new agent.

Despite boss Graham Potter's efforts, there is no indication that Mount is set to agree to a new contract with Chelsea, alerting Liverpool and Manchester United. Now, Bayern Munich is also preparing to join the race for his signature.

Chelsea is expected to demand that much for the academy product, reports The Times, but Bayern Munich is looking to take advantage of Mount's uncertain situation and offer their new manager a valuable asset for next season.

Tuchel a fan of Mount

Mount was a regular fixture in Tuchel's starting XI during their time together at Chelsea, and he played a significant role in their Champions League victory in 2021. However, Mount's playing time has decreased under current Chelsea boss Graham Potter, and he has only played the full 90 minutes of a game twice since the World Cup.

There are also concerns about Mount's fitness as he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and had to withdraw from the most recent England squad

The English midfielder's situation has indeed sparked interest from Liverpool and Man Utd, but it remains to be seen where he will be playing next season.
