Crystal Palace host Arsenal on 5 August at 8pm in the first game of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

The likes of Erling Haaland, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah are some of the high-profile names that will have caught attention to users attempting to build the winning formula.

After prices were drip-fed to users, the entire price list has now been unveiled, with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah the most expensive player at £13m.

But, who else will have caught the eye?

The 10 most expensive FPL goalkeepers

Of the goalkeepers in the game, Liverpool's Alisson leads the way at £5.5m, tied with Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris and Manchester City's Ederson

Edouard Mendy, Emiliano Martinez, Jose Sa, Aaron Ramsdale, Nick Pope, Kasper Schmeichel, Lukasz Fabianski and David de Gea are all priced at £5m.

The 10 most expensive FPL defenders

Manchester City and Liverpool defenders dominate the current list of expensive defenders, given the attacking output that is possible in both Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp's teams.

Trent Alexander-Arnold heads the field at £7.5m, followed by Joao Cancelo and Andrew Robertson at just £0.5m cheaper.

Virgil van Dijk is priced at £6.5m, while Chelsea's full-back duo Ben Chilwell and Reece James, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Joel Matip are all valued at £6m.

Thiago Silva and new Tottenham star Ivan Perisic are joined by Marcos Alonso and John Stones at £5.5m

The 10 most expensive FPL midfielders

Kevin de Bruyne, Mohamed Salah and Heung-Min Son are all classed as midfielders and are the three most expensive players in the entire game.

De Bruyne and Son are both valued at £12m, while the Liverpool man's starting value is slightly higher at £13m. He is the highest-priced player in the game.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling and Bruno Fernandes remain highly-priced, and Jarrod Bowen has received a huge price boost thanks to his impressive form last season.

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal's highest point-scoring midfielder last season, is fairly priced at £8m and is one of seven players at that price-point.

The 10 most expensive FPL forwards

At this early stage of the game, FPL managers are already faced with the dilemma of choosing between Erling Haaland and De Bruyne as their premium Man City option.

Of course, it is possible to own both, but that would likely mean leaving out the likes of Salah, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane. However, Haaland may be too good to ignore.

Haaland is priced at £11.5m, which is £1m more than Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, and the same price as Tottenham star Kane.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota may well be fighting for a starting spot at Liverpool, but they're both priced at £9m, which is £0.5m less than Leicester's Jamie Vardy.
