Robert Lewandowski is one of the most devastating goalscorers in world football and has won everything there is to win with current club Bayern Munich.

Since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, the Poland international has went from strength to strength, breaking numerous goalscoring records and winning seven Bundesliga titles as well as the Champions League.

Surprisingly, though, Lewandowski's future is far from certain as his contract with the German giants expires in the summer of 2023.

He will turn 34 in the summer, and Bayern are reportedly wary of renewing him onto a massive contract for more than a one-year extension.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Lewandowski's future is "open", writing on Twitter:

"Robert Lewandowski's future situation is absolutely open. He's focused on second part of the season with Bayern - but his current contract expires in 2023 and he wants a new deal to stay. There are still no talks between Bayern and his agent."

Lewandowski has previously been linked with numerous clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Now, though, it appears that Manchester United are leading the race for his signature should he leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
