Rangers’ sixth signing made official: Cammy Devlin signs two-year deal
Rangers have announced Cammy Devlin as their sixth new signing of the summer, with manager Derek McInnes raiding his former club to snap up the Australia international midfielder in a deal that will not go down well at Tynecastle.
Devlin’s departure from the Edinburgh club was announced on Friday, with the 28-year-old having failed to agree a new deal with the Premiership runners-up.
The Gers have moved quickly to snap up the Sydney-born star, who caught the eye as one of Scotland’s leading players last season before an injury early in 2026 disrupted his campaign and played a role in the Jambos missing out on the title.
The Ibrox club announced the deal via their official website on Saturday, stating:
“Rangers can today announce the signing of midfielder Cammy Devlin on a two-year deal, with the option for an additional year, subject to international clearance.”
The player stated: “It feels amazing. I am obviously so happy to get it over the line; with the gaffer coming here and a lot of change happening at the club, it feels like a great time to be coming here.
“It is just an absolute honour and privilege; I am so aware, being in Scotland for a while now, the size of the club and everything that comes with playing at such a massive football club. To call myself a Rangers player now feels pretty special and I just cannot wait to get started.”

McInnes also spoke highly of the new arrival, stating: “Cammy is obviously a player I know, and I am well aware what he will offer to Rangers. His levels of consistency for me were superb, and he is the type of player that every manager wants in his team. He is someone who knows the Scottish league, and nothing will surprise him with what lies ahead. I am looking forward to welcoming Cammy to Rangers and working with him again after he returns from his holiday.”
The Gers had previously indicated that there had been no contact made with the Aussie, who has been heavily linked with the move to Glasgow for the last fortnight.
Devlin is the sixth new arrival for the Gers this summer and follows Lawrence Shankland in making the move from Hearts to Rangers on a free.
The Gers have also snapped up Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur and Bristol City right-back Ross McCrorie for £6 million and are around £1m respectively, while Dan Neil has arrived from Sunderland as a free agent. In addition, Ben Godfrey has hooked up with the Glasgow club on a one-year loan deal from Atalanta.
