Paul Pogba reaches transfer agreement

Paul Pogba has reached an agreement with AS Monaco over a two-year contract, according to reports in France.
The 32-year-old, who hasn’t played a competitive match since September 2023 due to a doping ban, is set to return to football with Adi Hutter’s side, seven months after his Juventus contract was mutually terminated.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Inter Miami, Manchester United and Real Madrid, however he will instead join Monaco on a two-year deal until 2027.
That is according to Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna, who claims that Pogba has reached a “financial agreement” with Monaco.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Pogba will become a new Monaco player, with the transfer close to being formally announced by the Ligue 1 outfit.
The former France international has been in talks with Monaco for several months and an agreement has seemingly been reached between the two parties.
Pogba will become the club’s second signing of the 2025 summer transfer window, following the arrival of Eric Dier on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.

Why was Paul Pogba banned from football?
After the Frenchman returned to a second positive sample, he was banned for four years, but this was soon reduced to 18 months and he was able to return to action in March.
However, he is yet to make his first competitive appearance since his ban ended due to the fact he left Juventus last year.
Ahead of reaching an agreement with Monaco, Pogba posted a collection of training photographs on Instagram with a caption that read: “I think it’s time.”
The pictures feature Pogba training in a Real Madrid jersey, fuelling speculation of a Los Blancos switch, however he is set to join Monaco instead.
