Mbappe's girlfriend slams constant harassment over relationship: 'Absurd rumours!'

Ester Exposito, actress and girlfriend of Kylian Mbappe, has broken her silence over the harassment she receives online due to her relationship with the Real Madrid superstar.

According to reports from numerous tabloids, the pair have been an item since the beginning of this year and have been photographed together on a number of occasions by paparazzi.

Neither Exposito nor Mbappe have publicly recognised the relationship, with both not featuring on the other's Instagram accounts as of yet.

However, Exposito has alluded to her connection with Mbappe in a new social media post in which she slammed those who have been critical of their relationship as well as supposed false rumours about her personally.

"In recent months, and more particularly in recent days, false information and defamatory remarks about my private life have circulated on social networks," she wrote.

"They do not correspond in any way to reality or to the person I am. Absurd rumors, created for the sole purpose of dirtying a story between two people and violating my dignity. Not everything is allowed. This time, I am forced to set a limit and take legal action against the responsible persons!"

According to Le Parisien, Exposito has been he subject of abuse from football fans online, many of whom have spread rumours about the actress's unproved and alleged racist and alocholic past.

The pair also received abuse from Real Madrid fans back in February after they were spotted together on holiday in Sardinia at a period when Los Blancos were going through a period of turmoil. Even though Mbappe was recovering from an injury at the time, he was chastised for not being among his team-mates ahead of a crunch La Liga fixture versus Espanyol.

The club insisted that players are free to do as they wish when not on official club duties.

It has been a chaotic summer for Mbappe both on and off the pitch.

In football, he helped France reach the semi-final of the World Cup where they suffered defeat against Spain.

Away from the game, he has been caught in a political scandal with Paraguayan Senator Celeste Amarilla.

Following a fiery clash between Paraguay and Spain at the World Cup, Mbappe refused to shake hands with goalkeeper Orlando Gill after being the target of some rough treatment from the South Americans.

Amarilla took to social media with a racist tirade against the Real Madrid forward.

“This idiot didn't even learn to write. Instead of suckling breast milk, he suckled on coconuts, and the most educated beings he'd ever heard of were chimpanzees,” she wrote on X.

“A Cameroonian, a product of colonialism, desperately trying to pass for French, resentful, nouveau riche, arrogant, and ugly. He was nervous and terrified throughout the entire match, just like his whole team; they didn't even manage to score a goal, they won thanks to a stroke of luck...”

Mbappe hit back against the racist remarks, saying she did not represent the people of Paraguay.

Remarkably, that catalysed a response from Amarilla again, threatening the France superstar with prison.

She said: “I would tell Mbappe to read my letter; I wrote it in French and Spanish. I would tell Mbappe to read my letter, if he can read, and I would tell him to be wary of Paraguayans. Don't attack Paraguayans.

“Here, they put Ronaldinho in prison for a minor offence. Mbappe shouldn't underestimate me. I can hire a lawyer and I can file a complaint against him for gender-based violence and political violence against women. This is serious.”

Legal action is now underway in France after the French Football Federation referred the racist matter to the National Centre for Combating Online Hate. Because Amarilla is reported to travel to France regularly for holidays, French authorities are able to pursue the case under the relevant legislation. If convicted, she could receive a prison sentence of up to one year and be fined €45,000.

The case is still progressing through the courts, with Amarilla showing no indication that she intends to change her stance.
