Ancelotti to Brazil collapses
Brazil have been chasing Ancelotti for well over a year and it had appeared in the last week that they finally had got their man.
Romano reported on Monday that an 'agreement in principle' had been reached with the Real Madrid boss.
Ancelotti was expected to officially take charge of the Selecao for the June international break.
Brazil are currently without a manager after sacking Dorival Junior last month.
Ancelotti has been their dream appointment, having won 15 trophies across two spells at Real Madrid, including the Champions League and La Liga double last season.

Brazil wanted Ancelotti to lead them to World Cup glory next year.
As FootballTransfers reported last week, Saudi Arabia are also interested in hiring Ancelotti.
His former clubs AC Milan and AS Roma have also been touted as possible destinations if he were to return to Italy.
Ancelotti will be sacked by Real Madrid at the end of the current season.
Following his side’s disappointing Champions League exit to Arsenal and the Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona, there is no chance of Ancelotti staying.
Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso has been tipped to replace the Italian at the Santiago Bernabeu.
