Henrik Larsson reckons one Celtic legend may just edge out Ronaldinho to the status of the best footballer he has played alongside.

The Swede achieved legendary status at Celtic, becoming one of the best forwards in all of Europe during his time in Scotland.

He would eventually move on to pastures new with Barcelona and in the 2006 Champions League final he came off the bench to change the game, recording two assists as the Blaugrana completely a comeback to defeat Arsenal 2-1.

In addition to Ronaldinho, Larsson has played with greats like Paul Scholes, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Samuel Eto'o, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney but they all fall short of one Lubomir Moravcik.

When asked by Gary Neville on The Overlap if Ronaldinho was the best player he had ever played with, Larsson responded:

"Yeah, he's up there. But, Lubo Moravcik...

"I still can't tell you if he's left-footed or right-footed. He could find you, he could find you anywhere. He could score goals."

Roy Keane interjected: "A lot of people don't know about him but he was an amazing player."

Larsson continued:

"His technique was just something else. Left foot, right foot, it didn't matter. He could hit it hard, he could caress it - he was just great."

Larsson to Man Utd

The iconic striker would eventually make his way to Manchester United for a short spell on loan from Helsingborgs IF in 2007 and even though it wasn't a long stay, he made a positive impact on the squad and on many of the United players.

Indeed, Sir Alex Ferguson had wanted to work with Larsson for years and attempted to sign him when he was at his peak at Celtic.

Larsson remained loyal to Celtic and explained on The Overlap why he turned down moves away from Glasgow.

"They were interested in me," he said of United.

"That's what I heard. I didn't want to move.

"I came from Holland (to Celtic) where I didn't play week in, week out. The family was starting to get settled in Glasgow. We were happy. I think it was my second contract, so I had a good salary.

"We were playing European football with Celtic, either in the Europa League or Champions League. I was playing with Sweden in the Euros and in the World Cup.

"I just felt 'I'm happy where we are'. I seen had seen the other side, I think the most important thing for a football player is to play week in, week out."
