Real Madrid could launch an astonishing pursuit of Jobe Bellingham in the hopes that his arrival will convince his brother Jude from pushing for a move to Manchester City.

Reports emerged over the weekend that Jude Bellingham was considering his future in Madrid amid a poor relationship with Xabi Alonso, which could pave the way for City to make a British record €150 million approach for the England international.

However, according to fichajes, a link-up with Jobe in Madrid could be on the cards after being encouraged by Jude to chase the Dortmund youngster in the hopes that his ‘enormous potential’ could grow in a more ‘suitable’ envinroment.

Jobe joined Dortmund in the summer for €30m from Sunderland but the 20-year-old has struggled to show his best form for the German side, having played just 327 minutes of Bundesliga action this season.

It is alleged that Alonso believes Jobe would have room to ‘evolve’ in his system and at a club where young players receive ‘careful treatment’ and ‘progressive development’ that would nurture his growth.

Dortmund have not decided whether they would be willing to cash in on the youngster as of yet but they are said to be willing to listen to any proposals that arrive, with Atletico Madrid also credited with an interest in the younger Bellingham brother.

Manchester City could tempt Real Madrid with Rodri for Jude swap

The situation surrounding Jobe could have huge implications on Jude’s future at Real, with the 22-year-old allegedly growing frustrated after a decline in form this season that has yet to convince him of Alonso’s suitability for his career.

Madrid still see Bellingham as a key part of their project and they could even offer him a new contract to settle any anxiety, particularly while knowing of City’s interest.

City are described as seeing Bellingham as a midfielder capable of providing leadership and pedigree to their midfield and they could even consider offering Rodri as a makeshift in any deal, having been aware of Real Madrid’s long-standing interest in the 29-year-old.

With Bellingham also still battling to prove his worth to England coach Thomas Tuchel ahead of next summer’s World Cup, a big money return to his home nation could end up becoming a reality if things do not improve over the course of the season, giving Real plenty of reason to calm his nerves by moving for brother Jobe in the near future.
