Chelsea target Benjamin Pavard has been linked with an exit from Bayern Munich in recent times and could be on the move soon.

The Frenchman hasn’t had the best start to the season, competing with Noussair Mazraoui for the right-back berth at Bayern Munich and he may not be around for long.

Over the summer, he was linked with moves to Manchester United as well, but a transfer away from the Allianz Arena never materialized for the World Cup winner.

Now, after new footage emerged, it seems as though an exit from Bayern Munich is a possibility and he may not be too happy with the record Bundesliga champions.

Pavard leaves training early

In a clip posted by journalist Florian Plettenberg, Pavard is seen walking away from training and he was the first one to go, suggesting he wasn’t happy with something.

This comes just days after he left the Allianz Arena early having been dropped for Mazraoui in their weekend match against Mainz on Saturday.

Plettenberg added that Pavard put in a “frustrating performance” in training and didn’t make any eye contact with the Bayern coaches on his way out as he looked annoyed.

Pavard has a contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2024 and there has been no talk of an extension, suggesting he may leave the club soon.

He joined Bayern Munich in 2019 and was first-choice at right-back for many years before Mazraoui joined, and that has seen Pavard dropped in recent times, missing out on three of the last five matches.

He started the season in Nagelsmann’s plans as the first-choice, but his performances led to him being dropped and the Moroccan has shone as his replacement, justifying the manager’s decisions.

Chelsea and Manchester United are still retaining an interest in him and a move for the Frenchman is a realistic possibility at some point next year.
