Neel Shelat

Neel Shelat is a freelance football journalist/analyst. He has been contributing to FootballTransfers as an analyst since June 2022.

Neel is a self-styled missionary of the religion of football — spreading the word about the game from all corners of the world. He closely follows various leagues, teams and players in all sorts of places to produce various features including in-depth profiles, tactical and data analyses, storytelling features, podcasts and much more. His work has been featured in Al Jazeera, FourFourTwo, World Soccer, Forbes Sports, Analytics FC and FotMob among others.

He is currently based in Doha, where he is studying Journalism at Northwestern University in Qatar.
