Raphinha in, Vinicius out: How will Brazil line up at the 2022 World Cup?

Brazil go into the 2022 World Cup in Qatar hoping to seal the hexa – their sixth World Cup – 20 years after they won their fifth in the Far East.

Led by an inspired Neymar and a side that has been bolstered by Tite’s smart management, they are the top favourites going into the World Cup this year.

They were in rampant form during their qualifiers and established themselves as one of the world’s top sides in that time, going past teams with ease.

So, with their squad filled with talent and players hitting form at the right time, how will Brazil line up for their group matches against Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon?

Neymar leads strong attack

In goal, Brazil have to strong options in Alisson and Ederson but it’s the Liverpool man who’s always been trusted by Tite and he will continue in net during the World Cup.

At the back, the experienced centre-half pairing will consist of Marquinhos and Thiago Silva, who did well despite the latter’s age and will have a say in the World Cup.

Full-back has proven to be the only problem of this side and it looks like Juventus’ Danilo will start at right-back with Alex Telles playing on the left.

In midfield, Tite has trusted the Manchester United duo of Casemiro and Fred and they have worked well together for the national team, which should be retained at the World Cup.

Supporting them to complete the midfield trio will be Lucas Pacqueta, who’s attacking instincts have been greatly admired by Tite.

Up front, Raphinha has done excellently for Brazil despite his flailing Barcelona form so he should retain his position on the right side of the attack.

Neymar will take up the left, as he always has for the last decade and all eyes will be on him in what could be his final World Cup.

And leading the line will be Gabriel Jesus, who has been impressive for Arsenal thus far this season despite scoring a lack of goals.

Supporting them all is a great group: the likes of Vinicius Jr., Antony, Richarlison, Bruno Guimaraes and more as they look to extend their great World Cup record.
