Man Utd's talks to sign Mbeumo IN TROUBLE

Manchester United's negotiations to sign Bryan Mbeumo have stalled because Sir Jim Ratcliffe is refusing to increase his offer further.

According to The Guardian, Brentford value Mbeumo at €81 million.

But Ratcliffe has made it clear that he will not increase his offer higher than the €75m valuation that United have for the the attacker.

This has caused negotiations between United and Brentford to stall.

The Guardian further reports that Mbeumo has tolkd Brentford he wants to make the move but Brentford are said to have increased their asking price having initially been ready to accept United's valuation.

Ratcliffe must now decide whether to increase his offer, which would require him to raise some money from sales of transfer listed players like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

Will Mbeumo join Man Utd?

United have been in negotiations for Mbeumo for several weeks now but have had two offers rejected by Brentford.

Mbeumo has already agreed personal terms with United but there have been concerns over the lack of progress on agreeing a transfer fee.

Mbeumo enjoyed a superb 2024-25 season, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists.

Ruben Amorim plans to play Mbeumo behind a striker, but he can also feature out wide and as a centre-forward.

Man Utd have already confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha for a whopping €74 million, with the Brazilian expected to occupy one of the two No.10 positions in Ruben Amorim's side.
