Eberechi Eze BEGGED not to sign for Arsenal
Eberechi Eze has been told not to leave Crystal Palace as Arsenal attempt to virtually close a deal for the England star this week.
The Gunners are looking to submit a first offer in the region of €60 million. The North London club are confident of agreeing a deal for the 27-year-old.
If Arsenal can manage to find common ground with Palace this week, Eze is not expected to feature on Sunday.
Eze warned against joining Arsenal
But former Arsenal defender Mickael Silvestre has begged Eze not to join Arsenal as he believes there is too much competition and he will lose the freedom and importance he boasts at Palace.
"Eberechi Eze to Arsenal? I don't think it'd be good for him, to be honest, because there is a lot of competition and because he has so much joy and freedom at Crystal Palace," Silvestre told Hajper.
"Going to Arsenal would, I think, be difficult because of the competition for places. But I like him a lot. Since his early days, he has been terrific. It’s a shame he's had quite a lot of muscle injuries and he's missed some parts of the season. But whenever he's fit and ready, he is a top player."
FootballTransfers recently revealed that Arsenal are ready to go 'all in' on the Crystal Palace magician.
Personal terms with Eze have already been agreed, and the 27-year-old has informed the Eagles of his desire to make the move to North London. However, we also reported that both Arsenal and Eze are keen to respect Palace.
Eze, who famously scored the winner in the FA Cup final against Man City, has become one of the Premier League’s most admired players in recent years.
He has played for Palace for five years, scoring 39 goals in 166 games.
He is expected to leave Palace this summer in order to make the next step up.
Eze has been capped 11 times by England, scoring one goal. He played at Euro 2024.
