Manchester United’s transfer business is picking up pace, with fresh updates from Old Trafford on two completed deal, as well as the latest rumours surrounding Marcus Rashford’s future.

Double deal paves way for new signings

Man Utd’s hopes of signing new blood for Michael Carrick’s squad have received a boost with the news that two squad players are on their way out of Old Trafford in favourable deals for the Red Devils.

Radek Vitek and Altay Bayindir are both set to leave the club for Middlesbrough and Celta Vigo respectively, with United striking positive deals for both goalkeepers.

These moves should free up wage budget and provide fresh funds to allow Carrick to make more signings.

Romano issues ‘major Rashford update’

Marcus Rashford’s future appears increasingly likely to lie at Old Trafford, with United now of the opinion that the England forward will be going nowhere.

“On Marcus Rashford, there is one important update,” Romano told his YouTube channel.

“Day after day, while we wait for him to return to training, the feeling inside Manchester United is that his chances of staying at the club continue to increase.

“At the beginning of August, unless something extraordinary happens in the transfer market, Marcus Rashford has a genuine chance of remaining at Manchester United, competing for his place and being available for Michael Carrick.

“I said during the World Cup that Carrick wanted to work with Rashford and that United were waiting to welcome him back for pre-season. That remains the case.

“There are no concrete negotiations over an exit.

“He is not going to Al Nassr or Fenerbahce. If he leaves, it would only be for one of Europe's top clubs, but at the moment there is nothing happening.

“Internally, Manchester United believe there is now a better than 50% chance that Rashford will still be at the club when the transfer window closes. It could almost feel like a new signing.”

United’s Hall hopes ended by Newcastle

Man Utd have been told by Newcastle that Lewis Hall will not be leaving the club this summer, according to a report from TeamTalk.

Hall has been seen as a leading contender to arrive in Carrick’s squad as a contender for Luke Shaw’s left-back berth, yet in the aftermath of losing both Sandro Tonali and, inevitably, Bruno Guimaraes, the Magpies have told United that the England star will not be leaving under any circumstances.

This will force Carrick to reassess his options, either in the transfer market or internally with his squad.

Zirkzee chased by Juventus

Juventus are pushing to sign Man Utd forward Joshua Zirkzee on loan, Sky Sport Italia claims.

The Netherlands international previously shone in Serie A with Bologna and is a long-term target of the Turin side.

United are thought to be open to allowing the former Bayern Munich attacker to move away on a temporary basis, with Carrick leaving him on the bench for the recent friendly with Atletico Madrid.
