Chelsea Transfer News Today: Alex Scott latest as verbal agreement confirmed
FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Alex Scott and Alex Disasi.
Alex Scott latest
Bournemouth star Alex Scott remains on Chelsea’s radar, although they will only pursue a deal if Enzo Fernandez is sold amid significant interest from Manchester City.
That is according to Football.London, who confirm that Bournemouth still have no interest in selling the 22-year-old, despite the fact he has already rejected a contract extension offer from the club.
Chelsea saw a bid rejected by Bournemouth earlier this summer, but they could return with a fresh offer if Fernandez departs before Deadline Day.
Axel Disasi verbal agreement
Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement to send Axel Disasi on loan to Crystal Palace for the duration of the 2026-27 season.
The Blues were eager to offload Disasi on a permanent deal before the end of Deadline Day, amid transfer interest from a number of clubs across Europe, including West Ham, but they have been unable to finalise a sale agreement and they have now agreed a deal with Crystal Palace.
That is according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who posted on X: “Verbal agreement reached between Chelsea and Crystal Palace for Axel Disasi to join Palace on a paid loan with no option to buy.
“Disasi remains Palace’s priority to replace Maxence Lacroix. Talks now ongoing with the player and his representatives. If an agreement is reached, Disasi will play for Palace this season.”
Lacroix completed a permanent move to Chelsea for a fee of €60.7 million in July and after registering interest in Blues youngster Josh Acheampong, Palace now look set to finalise an agreement for Disasi instead.
Xabi Alonso on Enzo Fernandez
Xabi Alonso refused to rule out the sale of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City amid significant interest from Enzo Maresca’s side.
The Argentina international is keen to explore the possibility of joining City, but Chelsea are adamant that Fernandez will remain at the club afterseeing their self-imposed deadline last week pass without their asking price of €140m being met.
“Enzo is a Chelsea player, he’s a top, top player, he’s training really well since he started ten days ago with the team. He’s very integrated and we’re very happy with him and he’s getting ready for [the first game of the season on] Monday,” Alonso said.
However, when asked whether Fernandez has said if he wants to stay at Chelsea, Alonso refused to rule out a transfer. “He’s training really well and with a good attitude and that’s what we want. He’s trying his best to perform for the kick-off of the Premier League,” the Spaniard replied.
Signing announced
Chelsea have officially announced the signing of Hearts defender Alfie Osborne for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The Scotland U19 international won Hearts’ B team Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards last season and he arrives with a burgeoning reputation as one of Scotland’s most exciting young talents.
The 18-year-old moved from central midfield to centre-back last season and he captained Hearts’ U18s to Scottish FA Youth Cup glory for the first time in 26 years after a 4-0 win over Queen’s Park in the final.
Reports in Scotland suggest that Chelsea have agreed to pay a compensation fee just shy of €500,000 for the 18-year-old defender.
Aston Villa want Tosin Adarabioyo
Aston Villa have added Tosin Adarabioyo to their list of possible replacements for Ezri Konsa, as per Sky Sports.
Konsa is on the verge of officially completing a move to Arsenal, with the terms of the deal fully agreed, and Unai Emery’s side are now searching for a replacement, with Tosin among the players under consideration.
Chelsea are eager to sell the centre-back before Deadline Day and Benfica have also been tipped to pursue a move, with Marco Silva keen to reunite with his former Fulham star.
