Real Madrid step up Fernandez interest

Real Madrid have now expressed their "genuine interest" in Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, as per the Daily Mail.

Sources close to the player insist that Real Madrid are targeting a move for the Argentina international, who is keen on joining Los Blancos after growing disillusioned at Chelsea.

However, the Blues' hefty asking price of close to €140 million means that it is currently unclear whether Real Madrid's interest will be formalised into a proper bid or if Fernandez will have to look for a different solution.

Cucurella requests to leave

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella believes that his spell at Stamford Bridge is "completely over," Mundo Deportivo claims.

The Spain international is looking to leave after Chelsea failed to qualify for European competition, and the Spanish outlet asserts that he has now handed in a transfer request. The club supposedly concur that it would be best to go their separate ways this summer.

Cucurella has made it clear - both privately and publicly - that he would love to return to Barcelona, but he accepts that the chances of this materialising are currently slim. He has suitors in England, but he wants to return to Spain, where Atletico Madrid are pursuing a deal.

Slonina also wants out

Chelsea goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina has been put up for sale after requesting to leave the club, the BBC reports.

The former American wonderkid arrived at Chelsea from the Chicago Fire in January 2023 but failed to establish himself as a genuine option at Stamford Bridge. Aged 22 now and coming off several loan spells, Slonina is keen to leave the club.

Chelsea will not stand in his way, and several European clubs have expressed their interest in Slonina. He could soon be sold, having not made a single competitive appearance for the Blues.

Chelsea still keen on Nunez

Chelsea are still keeping tabs on Al-Hilal striker Darwin Nunez, Mundo Deportivo writes.

Nunez has been linked with the Blues for a few weeks as he is expected to be on the move this summer after being de-registered by Al-Hilal from their Saudi Pro League squad in February to free up a foreign spot for Karim Benzema.

Nunez will be allowed to leave Al-Hilal, and he is eyeing a return to Europe. Chelsea, it is claimed, could become a genuine option for the Uruguay international following Xabi Alonso's appointment.

Kellyman to go on loan again

Forgotten Chelsea forward Omari Kellyman is set to go out on loan again next season, according to the BBC.

The 20-year-old joined in a controversial €22.5m deal from Aston Villa in 2024, but he has yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues. He spent last season on loan at Cardiff in League One, where he scored 11 times in 36 appearances.

The youngster has struggled with injury since his move to West London, but his encouraging Cardiff form has seen him attract widespread interest. He will be loaned to a higher-level club this summer.
