Barcelona issue hands-off warning for Fermin

La Liga champions Barcelona will not consider selling Fermin Lopez this summer, according to Spanish publication El Nacional.

Chelsea made a €40million (£34.5m) offer to sign the 23-year-old last summer before opting out of a deal, according to The Athletic.

And now Barcelona have issued a firm hands-off plea to clubs considering making a similar move ahead of the 2026-27 season, with El Nacional claiming Fermin is now viewed as one of the club’s “untouchables”.

Chelsea become aware of Maignan’s new asking price

Chelsea have received a daunting transfer update regarding Mike Maignan after learning AC Milan would want between €40m and €50m (£34.5m to £43.1m) to sell the goalkeeper this summer, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Blues were interested in signing Maignan last summer but withdrew their interest when discovering Milan valued the shot-stopper, who had just one year left on his contract at the time, at more than €15m (£12.9m), according to The Athletic.

And after Maignan signed a new five-year contract with Milan in January, Gazzetta dello Sport understands the managerless Serie A side now value the 30-year-old goalkeeper at three times what Chelsea were willing to pay a year ago.

Deschamps tells Lacroix to resolve future before World Cup

France boss Didier Deschamps has urged his players to sort out their futures before the World Cup starts, amid tentative speculation linking Maxence Lacroix with Chelsea.

French outlet <b>RMC Sport understands the 26-year-old could leave Crystal Palace in the summer, with the centre-back reportedly valued at more than €40m (£34.5m).

And as speculation continues to swirl regarding Lacroix, the former Wolfsburg man has now been told to clarify his situation before representing France at the World Cup, with manager Deschamps keen for his players to avoid distractions in North America.

In quotes carried by RMC Sport, when asked about the transfer speculation surrounding several of his France players, Deschamps said: “Obviously the faster the situation is clarified, the better it will be.

“But it applies to everyone. I tell everyone that once the World Cup has started, there will be no need to think about anything else.”

Rival club learn Bowen’s price tag amid Chelsea links

Newcastle United have become aware that Chelsea-linked Jarrod Bowen could be available for between €46m and €58m (£40m to £50m) this summer, according to The Chronicle.

Bowen is reportedly a target for a host of clubs following West Ham United’s relegation from the Premier League last season, with The Guardian claiming Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in his signature.

And now The Chronicle understands Newcastle are also keen to sign the 29-year-old, but Eddie Howe's men would have to stump up a significant amount of money in order to land the forward ahead of their rivals.
