Villa issue firm hands-off warning over Rogers

Arsenal have suffered a blow to their hopes of signing Morgan Rogers after learning Aston Villa value the England star at a British record €150million (£130m), according to The Telegraph.

BBC Sport reported earlier in June that the Gunners were keen to sign a new attacker ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season, with Villa talisman Rogers currently at the top of their wishlist.

However, according to The Telegraph, Villa do not want to sell Rogers, who they believe is worth more than England team-mate Elliot Anderson ahead of his €134m (£116m) move to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest.

The same publication claims Villa insist Rogers holds a valuation that eclipses the €145m (£125m) fee Liverpool shelled out on Alexander Isak in a British record transfer last summer.

PSG also adamant Barcola is not for sale this summer

Arsenal have been told Paris Saint-Germain have no interest in selling Bradley Barcola this summer, according to The Athletic, with the Champions League holders valuing the winger at more than €134m (£116m).

The Independent understands Arsenal have developed an interest in signing PSG winger Barcola, with the 23-year-old widely regarded as one of the best players in his position.

However, according to The Athletic, PSG have told Arsenal they are not willing to sanction Barcola’s departure, despite the forward’s reluctance to sign a new contract at Parc des Princes.

The same outlet claims PSG also believe Barcola - like Villa’s Rogers - is worth more than Anderson, hence their lofty valuation of the France international.

Gunners fail with opening approach for Scott

Arsenal have received another setback in their pursuit of a new midfielder after Bournemouth rejected their advances for Alex Scott, according to the Daily Mail.

The Athletic reported last Friday that the Gunners made a verbal offer worth below €69.5million (£60m) for Bruno Guimaraes, which was rejected by Newcastle United.

And now according to the Mail, Arsenal have failed with an approach to sign Bournemouth star Scott, though the same publication does not mention whether a fee was discussed.

The news comes after The Athletic reported earlier in June that Arsenal were interested in signing the 22-year-old, with a separate report from BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel claiming it could take upwards of €80m (£70m) to land him.

Arteta’s men receive fresh competition in Bouaddi race

Man City are interested in striking a deal with Lille that would see them sign Ayyoub Bouaddi permanently before loaning the teen sensation back to the Ligue 1 club for the 2026-27 season, according to The Athletic.

Bouaddi has established himself as one of the best young players in world football following his emergence through Lille’s youth system, having already made 96 club appearances at the tender age of just 18.

The Times claims Arsenal have opened discussions with Lille over a possible deal to sign Bouaddi, who has enhanced his burgeoning reputation with impressive performances for Morocco at the World Cup.

However, according to The Athletic, City are also admirers of the midfield metronome and they are weighing up a move that would see Bouaddi arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2027.
